Problems in machining of titanium alloys
Drábek, Tomáš ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis contains a brief overview of some experimental methods that are used in machining technologies. The experimental part at first elaborates on the analysis of two titanium alloys. The actual experiment, which consists of milling of the two aforementioned materials with the use of several tools and holders, is then described. It was conducted in collaboration with the company Frentech Aerospace s.r.o. When milling, forces were measured with piezoelectric dynamometer. Further, the analysis of acquired data that is followed with discussion about its main findings, is provided. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the found facts corresponding with the information obtained by analysis of materials. The main results arise out of the comparison of used combinations of tools and holders for milling of material Ti-Al6-V4, observation of impact of particular factors on measured force, or out of different values of measured forces when milling two given materials.

Adjustable belt conveyor - driving head
Machatka, Martin ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the present bachelor thesis was to design a driving head for an adjustable belt conveyor intended for brown coal transportation. According to the required parameters for the belt conveyor, functional calculation was carried out, technical parameters of the driving head were defined and its construction proposed. The entire drawing of the designed driving head and essential detailed drawings are included in this thesis.

Hydrogen: A risk to a natural gas phase-out in the Netherlands?
Roest, Douwe ; Ullrichová, Eliška (advisor) ; Oude Nijhuis, Dennie (referee)
1 Natural Gas Lock-in: Does Hydrogen Pose a Risk to a Natural Gas Phase-out in the Netherlands? Submitted By: Douwe C. Roest Charles University Prague A Master Thesis Submitted in Partial Fulfilment of The Requirements for A Master in European Politics and Society Master of Arts Submitted to: Dr. Eliška Ullrichová Wordcount: 21.098 2 Abstract Considerable scholarly literature has been dedicated to exploring carbon lock-in, yet limited research exists on the phenomenon of Natural Gas (NG) lock-in and its causes. This study addresses this research gap by conducting an explorative case study of the Netherlands. Specifically, it zooms in on the dynamic interaction between NG and hydrogen, with hydrogen emerging as the leading sustainable molecule to power the energy transition. The study aims to analyze the influence of the established NG regime on the developing hydrogen niche and the subsequent implications of hydrogen's increasing role on NG lock-in. The research combines academic work with grey literature and interview data to support a material and actor analysis through separate techno-economic, political, and socio-technical perspectives. The research finds five significant mechanisms through which existing NG production and consumption shape Dutch production and utilization of hydrogen: 1) the extensive...
